The SOURCE team will share with a new site a script of Clarity data extraction code that facilitates extraction of 28 tables worth of data on eye care recipients seen at your institution from the time you went live on EPIC until the present. These tables contain information on demographics, structured eye exam data (visions, eye pressures, etc..), billing codes for diagnoses and therapeutic interventions, medications prescribed, surgeries performed, radiology, etc.. A member of your IT service can work with the script provided to create these 28 tables. Next, all protected health information (PHI) present in the tables gets removed using software we are licensing from Datavant, Inc. Once the tables are devoid of PHI and all dates are date shifted, the data gets transmitted to the SOURCE Data Office via sFTP. SOURCE has dedicated staff who are readily available to assist with the onboarding process and much of the process can be automated so little effort is required to prepare and send new data.
